New York—Jewelers of America (JA) has announced the winners of its 34th annual CASE Awards jewelry design competition.

The CASE awards recognize members of the organization who exhibit Creativity, Artistry, Style, and Excellence through the design of the pieces they’ve submitted.

The national competition awarded one JA supplier member and one JA retailer member in the following categories: Jewelry up to $2,000, $2,001 to $5,000, $5,001 to $10,000, and $10,001 to $50,000 (retail values), and one “Best in Show.”

This year’s panel of judges was made up of design experts from across the industry, including Brecken Branstrator of GemGuide; writer Tanya Dukes; Natalie Francisco of National Jeweler; Amanda Gizzi of Jewelers of America; Adrianne Sanogo of the Black in Jewelry Coalition; Amina Sorel of Amina Sorel Fine Jewelry; and Alysa Teichman of Ylang 23 and Wildlike.

From over 120 entries, they determined the winners on overall design, marketability, originality, and quality of manufacturer.

“Jewelers of America’s CASE Awards design competition showcases the innovative designs and exceptional talents of Jewelers of America members across the country,” said Gizzi, the director of PR and events for JA.

“We are proud to celebrate their remarkable achievements and the brilliance they bring to the world of fine jewelry.”

The eight winners will receive a customized CASE Award trophy, as well as national and local media coverage.
